Bilateral 'Bridge of Peace' Roundtable Scheduled in Yerevan

The Armenian government has announced plans to host a high-profile roundtable conference in Yerevan, dubbed the "Bilateral 'Bridge of Peace' Roundtable," aimed at fostering greater cross-border civil society engagement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The ongoing peace efforts between Armenia and Azerbaijan are a testament to the region's complex history and the determination of its leaders to find a lasting solution to the long-standing dispute. The two countries have enjoyed tense relations in recent years, with border disputes and human rights issues exacerbating tensions. However, there have been glimmers of hope on the horizon, particularly with the establishment of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group, which has facilitated negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan since 1992.
