The attacks, attributed to an ISIS front group called Saraya Ansar al-Sunnah, underscore the ongoing security challenges faced by the Syrian government.

The foiled attempts, which occurred in Aleppo and Daraa provinces of Syria, are a stark reminder of the continued presence of extremist groups in the country.
