UAE Announces Reduced Working Hours for Public Sector During Ramadan 2026

The UAE has announced reduced working hours for public sector employees during Ramadan 2026, in an effort to promote work-life balance and support employee welfare.

Under the new arrangement, government workers will enjoy a more flexible schedule, with reduced hours and additional remote work options. Starting from next year, public sector employees will work from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while Fridays will see a shorter working day of 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
